The Best Investment You Can Make If You Want To Become A Paid Influencer: Featuring LadyBossBlogger

“How did you become a blogger/influencer?”

This is a question I get quite often on Instagram and to be totally honest, when I started I had no strategy. My first blog page and YouTube channel was a way to share a bit of my experience and knowledge as a makeup artist and I remember being very against sharing much of my personal life. But slowly things started blossoming and I would share fashion, then travels, and when I least expected I was posting lifestyle along with beauty and makeup tips.

When I first started my Instagram profile, algorithm and engagement rates were things that didn’t even exist and then it all boomed to what it is today and honestly sometimes I feel like I am trying to solve a chemistry problem! As influencers, you have to be up to date and constantly be learning and evolving or else you'll fall through the cracks.

Getting Started

In every aspect of life, there is room to grow and learn, so I started an online course with LadyBossBlogger: How to Make Money as an Influencer. Why, did I choose this course specifically? Well, being an influencer is a lot of work, and many times I’ve found myself frustrated with the amount of effort I would put in and not get paid.

At the end of the day, you want to see a return in your investment. The investment of time and creativity that we put into the content is many times undervalued and I think this is where a lot of talented people give up on their dreams.

Benefitting From The Right Tools

There needs to be a strategy and that’s what this course helps you do, it gives you the tools to avoid making beginner mistakes. It guides from the very basics of finding your “why” and your “niche” so that you can gain credibility with your followers and brands.

A few of the topics covered on the course are:

  • Branding

    • Are you a personal or professional brand?

  • Content:

    • Creating, capturing, and managing posts.

  • Pitching

    • How to contact brands and get a response.

  • Brands

    • What are they looking for?

  • Money

    • Pricing yourself and tracking your earnings.

  • Legal

    • Laws, taxes, and business ownership.

Outcomes

Applying the resources has helped me in revamping my pitching strategies, being intentional in my emails have helped me have a better turnout in collaborating with brands. It also showed me the importance of having and posting on my own blog page. Since your social media profile belongs to the company itself, if it “goes” so does your profile and hard work.
